Stages academy - CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Message from Stages
To our wonderful Stages Performers Academy family, Thank you all for keeping in touch and for all the support during these unusual and unsettling times.
It was so lovely to see so many of you taking part in online lessons and, it was with a huge feeling of regret that I had to furlough myself to save money for the company and to keep my wage.
I know many of you have found these times challenging and many will be concerned about what the other side of lockdown will be like for our studio.
The current plan in line with government guidelines is to have bubbles of up to 15 students. In most classes this will be good news as each child or adult will have a 2.5 m² space to stand in when in the studio learning. The benefit of this, is that it is safer than even most shops and supermarkets can currently offer and 1.5 m² over the minimal 1 m distance.
In order to make our bubbles work successfully, we will be contacting you by email to advise you whether you are in bubble group A, B or C. In each instance we will do our best to make sure that those who car-share or are in the same family can be bubbled on the same day/class. Please understand that we may not be able to please everyone with “best friends” in the same bubble. If we deal with everything responsibly this arrangement will only be temporary. Some grades are small enough that their class will be a bubble of its own and you may be able to attend the studio every week.
In regards to Dance N Tone, we will rotate some people in bubbles but allow those who do not have access to the internet for taking part in classes online, to attend at the studio every week.
In the weeks that you may not be attending the studio as another bubble is in attendance, there will be a simultaneous live stream on Zoom of the lesson that you would normally attend. We will be making zoom attendance compulsory on the weeks you do not attend at the studio. This is for consistency and to ensure continued progress and so that teachers can keep their classes all on the same track, and to aid communication. This may sound harsh, but because we will still have a show to rehearse and technique to rebuild after such a long break, students who fail to attend the zoom class in between attending the studio will lose their bubble place. I hope you can understand the necessity for this stringent rule.
