Havering Changing Is ON The Look Out For Resident Curators!

In 2019 The Mercury worked with seven other businessnesses and organisations in Havering to submit a BID to Arts Council England in reciept of £1million + to support local residents' access to the arts. Led by The Queens Theatre Hornchurch, this BID was successful with test events  ending 2019 and launching 2020 - including popular events at The Mercury - 'Illusionarium' and 'Festival of Food & Culture'.

Havering Changing is now on the lookout for local people in Harold Hill, Orchard Village, Rainham and Romford Town to decide which art events and happenings are organised in their local neighbourhoods.  If you are looking to be directly involved in makeing positive  change in your home town and would love to be involved in a creative steering group where your voice is heard, them please get in touch with the programme director: James@haveringchanging.org
