Architecture Week is a week of free events and happenings to explore the places we are in every day, Architecture Adventure 2024 has a focus on ‘home’ and how to make the most of the places where we spend our time

 

Window Nouveau

Monday 8th April - 10am - 4pm - Caffe Della Continental - The Mercury 

An 'Art Nouveau' window ornament workshop with glass artist Gill and Breakfast Club leader April.

Tuesday 9th April - 11am - 3pm - Level 1 - The Mercury  

An interactive activity surrounding the 2024 Romford Masterplan. With architecture organisation 'Make:Good'.

Card-struction

Thursday 11th April - 10am - 4pm - Level 1 - The Mercury

A giant cardboard construction site with artist Hannah Davis. Build something big with child safe tools and learn how to recycle with our Waste contractor B&M Waste.

Triangle Town

Friday 12th April - 10am - 4pm - Level 1 - The Mercury

Learn how triangles are the foundation of incredibly strong buildings and take part in competitions to make your own super strong infrastructure! With artists Gill, Fie and Nigel.

Romford Utopia with Marvin's Great Create

Saturday and Sunday 13th & 14th April  - 10am - 4pm - Level 1 - The Mercury

Build your own scale model of Romford with other kids from accross town. This giant map will hold your own favourite shop or building that you have decided whould be built.

No need to book, just turn up!
