For just £10 you can experience the magical elevator ride, meet Santa, have your photo taken and receive a present.

Monday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm

Sunday & Christmas Eve: 11am – 4pm

The grotto will be open every day from now until Christmas Eve and no prior booking is required. Tuesday’s will offer sensory grotto sessions which are calmer, more inclusive visits to see Santa for children or adults with additional needs to sensory sensitivities. These sessions may include reduced crowds or quiet music. We are also dog friendly, bring your doggies to see Santa in his grotto every Wednesday!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FAQ:

How Do we Book? There is no booking required with this experience, you can just turn up at a time that suits you over the busy festive period!

Does Santa get a break? Yes, Santa eats his lunch between 1pm – 2pm every day (Milk and cookies we expect!)

Can We book? No, but don’t worry on busy days there will extra entertainment for the kids in the queue 🙂

Can we opt out of the experience? Yes. You can ask to pass through the elevator without the experience being active.

Can I go in with my dog? Dogs are allowed to experience the ride, and with the £10 package will also receive a picture with Santa and a dog toy!

How much is it? £10 for the experience, a gift, and a photo with Santa. Chat to Grotto helpers for more packages available.

Someone in my family is SEN, how can I find out what to expect? You can watch some reels on our Instagram page to get a better idea of the ride aspect. Please feel free to call The Mercury and we will do our best to advise how the experience will be based on your specific needs. We generally advise Tuesdays in November to be the best time to visit, as these are the quietest days to see Santa.

Can I see Santa without the 4D and lit tree Experience? Yes, of course, please ask our Nutcracker for the alternative back entrance to see Santa.

Is the Elevator and Grotto Accessible for Wheelchair Users? Yes all aspects have ramps and wide carpeted areas for accessibility purposes.

Can Adults ride the elevator without kids? Of course, Christmas is for everyone! You can also see Santa if you like!

Is this the same Santa as last year? Yes, our Nutcracker is back as the longest serving grotto operator in Romford, Our Nutcracker Ian will welcome you as usual and take a professional quality picture to take home as part of the £10 package.
