Everybody needs good neighbours

On Monday  20th January 2020 The Mercury Shopping centres Breakfast Club welcomed Havering Neighbourhood Watch Association, Michael Kilian and Mike Winter, joined by Romford Police Dedicated Ward Officer Sue Sullivan, her colleagues and Romford Town Ward Cllr, Judith Holt to Café Della Continental to talk all things safety relating to Neighbourhood Watch.

 

They talked about general home safety tips and highlighted cyber, phone and door to door scams, offered free purse chains, alarms and door stickers. The team also reminded the breakfast club that all Havering Residents are entitled to a full safety check of their property by simply making an appointment at Romford Police station.  

 

Gemma and Karen from the Mercury team said; “It’s great to highlight to our members that community support is out there and that you need to speak up to the police,  family members or a friend if you’re a victim of fraud, we thank our local Havering Neighbourhood Watch team and police for talking to our members today”.
